Description

Pitching Your Project

This session is open to staff and students in both the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences.

How do you engage potential industry, government or other external partners with your project idea? What level of detail should you provide initially? When and how should the issue of funding be raised?

The Researcher Development session will take you through the components and structure of a good pitch conversation, highlighting things to do and things to avoid. A panel will also answer your questions in an interactive Q&A.

This session is aimed at researchers looking to develop an industry-linked project, as well as those simply wanting to be more impactful when presenting their research concepts to external parties.

A light lunch is provided following the session at 1:00 - 1:30 PM.

Bookings are essential. RSVP by September 21, 2017.
